If you’re looking for a cozy and romantic spot for date night or a fun hangout with friends, the Dandy Crown at 694 N. Milwaukee Ave, is featuring a love-themed mini pop-up called Tunnel of Love. Running from February 1 to February 28, experience fun cocktail options and cute photo-ops.
Right when you enter the patio, you’ll be greeted by the warm fire pits surrounding the hearts, bears and love decorated patio, creating a cozy and laid back time. It was fun to see all the decor and space lit up with twinkle lights. You’ll definitely want to take out your camera and take a few photos to share. The space is fully enclosed and heated so no worries about getting chilly!
The cocktail menu offers a variety of options, served in beautiful and unique glassware to add to the ambiance. There’s something for everyone, including non-alcoholic versions of the drinks, so everyone can join in on the fun.
My guest and I tried a few selections, including the Tunnel of Love (gin, violette, maraschino, lime, lavender, and honey). If you like a floral taste, this is for you. Lovergirl (vodka, pomegranate, ginger, lemon), which is fruity and refreshing. What’s Love Got to Do With It (vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, strawberry, almond), if you like espresso martinis, this will be up your alley. Also, Power of Love (tequila, mezcal, amaro, blood orange, lime), which is smoky and not too sweet. Our favorite? That’s the Way Love Goes, with citrus vodka, lychee, lemon, cranberry, and lychee foam. It was the balance of sweetness and tang. In addition to the cocktails, there is a food menu, for all your snacking and munchie needs.
Tunnel of Love is free to attend and while walk-ins are welcome, reservations are encouraged to secure your night out. So, whether you’re in search of a date night with your significant other or a fun time with friends, make sure to check it out. For additional fun in February, Dandy Crown will be hosting a variety of events including a LOVE trivia night, a Galentine’s Party, and Kid’s Party .
